Makeup Trends 2024
As you know, working in fashion means I possess a vast knowledge and understanding of current trends! As much as I am a great believer that Bridal Makeup and Hair should not be too on trend ( in order not to date too quickly) I still think that current influences should be taken into consideration when creating your bridal look.
Taking in account current Fashion & Couture Week, naturally glowing makeup, bold accents and gothic revivals are trending this year.
It is all about the minimalistic approach and stripping it back. But do not worry if this is not for you and you are a full glam kind a girl, there are plenty of trends to get inspired by and implement into a full glam routine.

Glowing Skin
Just as we thought glowing looks are stepping back in the favour of matte complexions, Paris Couture week has proved us wrong! The catwalk is oozing with glowing complexions, including infamous Porcelain Doll look that Pat Mc Grath created for Maison Margiela.
Glow is BACK ! and I can not be happier about it! Naturally glowing complexions always look more alive and healthy in real life and in photos. If You are more on an oily side of things, please do not worry, there are tricks up my sleeve to help you to control the shine thoughout the day and retain naturally glowing complexion.
Less is More
My personal favourite! This year natural, barely there makeup is a huge HIT! So if you are a girl that does not like to wear a lot of makeup, this year is YOURS! It is all bout beautifully groomed skin that looks like it has nothing on. Minimal shimmery eyeshadow, good lash and a pitch of blush - a perfect version of yourself.
Bold Lips. Statement lip is huge this year! Whether it is a cherry red lip overlayed with high gloss, matt red or gothic blackberry, all are go this season! Bold lipstick will beautifully pair up with a sleek bun or a vintage inspired hairstyle. All are massively in trend too!
Blurred Lip Line. Natural no makeup bridal looks are super hot right now and can be paired with a bold or blurred lipstick. Choose more muted natural tones of lipstick or lipliner and apply it in the shape of your natural lip, if you like, overdraw. Use a cotton bud to smudge the edge for that super natural blurred finish.The key is to keep the shape, but have the edges blurred.

Before the trial, I had some clear ideas about what I wanted but was looking for an artist who would also bring their own expertise and suggestions. Tamara understood so well what I was after and after realising my hair ideas would not work with my hair length, Tamara was happy to try different styles until we found one that worked for my hair and that I was completely happy with. On my wedding day she arrived on time and was a calming presence to have around. She also did a great job on my mum's makeup. Looking through my wedding photos and seeing myself from every angle, I can appreciate even more Tamara's great work and it's staying power throughout the day! (I could tell her perfectionism would pay off!) I felt and looked like the best version of myself and isn't that what ever bride hopes for?

Blush it UP. Blush is seen all over the catwalk! Peachy or Pinky - Your choice! Use blush instead of ocuntour, over the temples, nose and high points of the cheeks. Everything goes! This year is all about having a play!
Earthy Tones. I don't think this trend will ever grow old! This year natural looks are prevalent on the catwalk, and earthy tones are a huge part! Brown is such a universal colour, all of us have it in our skin and hair. There is a right brown shade for everybody! It is important to choose it according to your skin tone and complexion. Brown is the shade you can never go wrong with!
